Canadian Hotels Occupancy Up 11.7% Week Ending 24 December 2011

In year-over-year measurements, the Canadian hotel industry’s occupancy ended the week with an 11.7-percent increase to 31.4 percent, its average daily rate rose 3.4 percent to CAD$111.46 and its revenue per available room increased 15.6 percent to CAD$34.97.

In year-over-year measurements, the Canadian hotel industry’s occupancy ended the week with a 6.9-percent increase to 49.7 percent, its average daily rate rose 3.1 percent to CAD$118.47 and its revenue per available room increased 10.2 percent to CAD$58.84.







First Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Peru to Open in 2013

Overall, the U.S. hotel industry’s occupancy rose 4.7 percent to 55.7 percent, its average daily rate was up 4.3 percent to US$100.85 and its revenue per available room increased 9.2 percent to US$56.17.
