Connolly, a seasoned hospitality industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, will be responsible for overseeing all of the resort’s many amenities, in addition to managing the overall daily operations of El Conquistador Resort, The Waldorf Astoria Collection and, its sister property, Las Casitas Resort, The Waldorf Astoria Collection.
Waldorf Astoria has appointed Dirk De Cuyper as General Manager of Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund. The hotel will be located in the heritage building on the famous Bund in Shanghai and is scheduled to open in 2010.
The grand lobby doors of The Roosevelt New Orleans opened July 2009 as the hotel greeted its first group of guests following a $145-million historic restoration, returning to an era of grandeur and elegance for which the legendary hotel once was known.
