The Barcelo Maya Palace Set to Open December 24th |
|
The hotel is the fifth property to be added at the renowned all-inclusive Barcelo Maya Beach Resort. The Barcelo Maya Palace is an all-suite property that features 756 junior guest suites, as well as honeymoon and presidential suites. |
The hotel's architecture is Moorish in influence and opens to the sea with large palazzos and patios. The new hotel includes three additional fine dining a la carte restaurants featuring French, Caribbean and a Brazilian style grill. In addition there are two buffet restaurants and a beach grill and pool bar, as well as a lobby bar.
The hotel's spacious suites include a sleeping and sitting area, as well as a large contemporary spa style bathroom finished with natural stone and including a walk-in shower and garden style tub, and double sinks. All suites have ocean or garden views, and large patios or balconies. Additional comfort features are a large screen TV, a desk, dual telephone lines, in-room high speed internet access, and a refrigerated mini-bar for snacks. The resort decor and comfortable furnishings make it perfect for couples on a retreat, conference attendees or families. And like its sister hotels at The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort, the Barcelo Maya Palace will offer an all-inclusive experience with access to all 20 restaurants and bars, a new Mayan influenced European-style spa, a Conference Center that can accommodate groups of up to 1,680 guests, and more than one mile of pristine Caribbean beach.
"The Barcelo Palace offers an extraordinary resort experience that is for the most discerning travelers," said Oscar Serrano, Commercial Director General, Barcelo Hotels & Resorts Latin America. "In addition to the resort's spectacular facilities and beachfront location, the new hotel offers a level of personal service and amenities that are unparalleled in the all-inclusive resort experience," added Serrano.
About the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort
The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort creates one of the areas most beautiful and comprehensive all-inclusive resort destination properties. It encompasses more than a mile of sparkling Caribbean beach protected by a natural coral reef and is surrounded by a 500,000 square meter nature park. It is less than 50 miles from the Cancun International Airport and in close proximity to the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum.
The Resort is presently comprised of four all-inclusive hotels that collectively offer nearly 2,000 guestrooms: the Premium Level Barcelo Maya Tropical and Colonial Beach Hotels, as well as the upscale Barcelo Maya Beach and Caribe Hotels. All four hotels offer spacious guest rooms inspired and influenced by both classical and new age Mayan architecture. Guestrooms feature a private terrace or balcony, air conditioning with individual climate control, in-room safes, ceiling fans, a coffeemaker, bathrobes, a complimentary mini bar, and satellite TV. The resort has a selection of 10 continental style restaurants, four gourmet restaurants and multiple lounges. Guests may choose from casual buffet style dining or one of four specialty restaurants: Mare Nostrum for fresh seafood, Bali-Hai for Oriental, inspired cuisine, Capri for Mediterranean-Italian food, or Santa Fe for grilled specials and steaks. For relaxation there are four expansive beachside swimming pools with whirlpools and swim-in bars. For children there is a separate pool with a water park and a special Kid's Club, the Barcy Club, as well as babysitting services, video games and movies on-demand. There are shopping galleries and two spectacular night clubs that feature live orchestras, nightly entertainment, and disco dancing.
In addition the resort recently opened a new European-style 1,500 square meter Mayan influenced space with a menu of treatments from hydrotherapy to massage services and a Mayan Indian style sweat lodge. Guests of the resort may book spa facilities at an additional charge.
