One thing to keep in mind in the U.S. maid has become a derogatory term, room attendant, suite attendant or simply housekeeper is preferred.

Most of our general managers measure room cleaning times. The only time I have a problem with it is when one GM called it maid minutes and still insisted on cleaning times that were effective in the 70's but not with today's added amenities, triple
sheeting and covers instead of bedspreads. That takes time. Rush that time and you will end up with injured housekeepers and workers comp claims.
