ARAMARK Harrison Lodging Announces Organizational Changes

  • Aramark ARAMARK Harrison Lodging announced the promotions of Mike Fahner to vice president of development and marketing and Greg Wier to vice president of client relations and retention.

    In his new position, Fahner will oversee new unit growth looking for management expertise as well as lodging investors while Wier will focus on client relations and lead ARAMARK Harrison Lodging's contract renewal efforts.

"Mike and Greg have played an impressive role in the growth the company has experienced in recent years and we feel confident that their knowledge and expertise will maintain ARAMARK Harrison Lodging's continued success."

    Fahner joined ARAMARK in 2000 as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to this, he served 17 years with Marriott where he held a variety of positions such as regional vice president - sales & marketing; regional director - sales & marketing and national director of sales training and staffing development. He began his career as a meeting planner before moving to the supplier side of the business.

    Fahner graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in business administration. He has been a guest lecturer and visiting teacher at Cornell University, and has been invited to speak at Penn State University, the University of the District of Columbia the University of New Hampshire and at many industry organization meetings.

    Greg Wier has gained much of his experience in the conference center industry throughout a variety of positions at ARAMARK Harrison Lodging over the past 17 years. During this tenure, Wier has served as director of business development, director of operations, regional manager and general manager. Upon graduation, Wier was selected for the Sheraton Corporation management training program, after which he held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility for Sheraton in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Louisiana.

    Wier graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in business and hospitality services administration. He has served as an advisory board member to the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore and Columbus Public Schools and is designated as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).
