New Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois; $225 Million Project Launched In July |

Currently under construction, the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center is slated to open in 2006. Designed by John Portman & Associates, the hotel will include a 28,000 sq. ft. ballroom and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and is part of a mixed-use project incorporating a convention center with 100,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space. |
"The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center is a concept whose time has come. With our ability to host large groups and conventions, Schaumburg will no longer be a quiet village on the outskirts of Chicago; it will become a destination of choice for businesses and organizations across the country," explains Randy Griffin, Director of Marketing for the property.
The new Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel will epitomize the brand's commitment to "Body of a Full-Service, Soul of an Independent" with its endless amenities and thoughtful design elements that embrace the surrounding landscape. The hotel will feature 500 guest rooms, including 261 doubles, 212 kings and 27 suites. All accommodations feature flat screen TVs, satellite radio, 2-line phones with data ports, high speed internet access, work desk, cable satellite TV with remote control, pay-per view movies, newspaper delivered (M-F), complimentary in-room coffee, mini-bar, hairdryer, ironing board, and individual climate controls.
The hotel's club level will provide amenities that ease life on the road, including concierge services, daily complimentary continental breakfast and afternoon cocktails. Hotel guests will also have access to a health club, indoor heated pool and whirlpool/spa.
Schaumburg is a suburban destination that offers a friendly, family-like experience.
