  • Wyndham Wyndham International, Inc. (AMEX:WBR), has promoted Nicholas R. Bonrepos to senior vice president of business development and owner relations, responsible for expanding the company's presence in key, strategic markets through brand-defining management contracts and franchise agreements, and facilitating mutually beneficial relationships with third-party owners.

"Nicholas is an ideal fit for this position in that he has developed a number of similar relationships on behalf of our owned assets. His contributions will prove invaluable as we sharpen our focus on growing the core Wyndham brand through managed and franchised agreements with third-party owners. Nicholas truly understands the nature of the hospitality industry in that it is a relationship-driven business," said Fred J. Kleisner, chairman, president and chief executive officer.

According to Bonrepos, the company's endeavors to expand its presence through such alliances is made much easier due in large part to Wyndham's strong sales and marketing infrastructure and proven track record in building customer loyalty. "What we offer hotel property owners is a successful and proven brand that stands for personalized and memorable guest experiences, and a valuable combination of disciplined service offerings and operations support that is distinctive and unique in the hospitality industry," said Bonrepos.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Bonrepos has held a number of senior level positions with several national and local real estate investment, development and management firms, responsible for financial planning and administration activities and for successfully facilitating relationships with lending institutions, investors, the public sector and the financial community. He began his career with Wyndham in 2000 as vice president of finance, overseeing all of the company's real estate asset management activities and initiatives, secured debt compliance and environmental issues. In this role, he represented the company's owned assets for a variety of third-party relationships -- from business partners and condominium/property-owner associations to landlords and lenders for Wyndham's real estate assets.
