The NH Düsseldorf an der Messe will be the only hotel situated on the fairgrounds of the city
NH Hoteles has signed contracts for a new hotel in Düsseldorf, the NH Düsseldorf an der Messe. With this new establishment the hotel chain will operate 53 hotels with a total of 9,162 rooms in Germany. In Düsseldorf, the chain will have 3 hotels with a total of 1,081 rooms.
NH Hoteles will operate the hotel under a management contract until the end of 2005. As of 2006 it will turn into a lease contract. The opening date of the hotel is foreseen for the summer of 2005.
The NH Düsseldorf an der Messe will be constructed on the fairgrounds of Düsseldorf and will form part of the new "Stadium Messe Arena". The newly constructed building will be the only hotel on the fairground. Since it is integrated in the stadium, it will be possible to observe soccer matches and other events from several parts of the hotel.
The "Stadium Messe Arena" can hold up to 65,000 spectators and is equipped with the most advanced technology in terms of lighting, sound and air conditioning. This stadium also features a large shopping and restaurant area, several congress rooms with views into the stadium and a fitness spa. The "Stadium Messe Arena" is connected with the train station, the important highway A-44, and is situated at 3 km's from the airport.
The NH Düsseldorf an der Messe will occupy 12,000 m2 and will have 293 rooms. In addition to the characteristic services of NH Hoteles like Wi-Fi technology, the new hotel will have 800 m2 of facilities for congresses and conventions with views into the stadium. This way NH Hoteles once more expands into the MCI (Meeting Congress and Incentives) segment.
