Hotels and gaming group Hilton has reported a 41% jump in 2004 profits to £383.1m.
It is planning to sell a number of hotels over the next 12 months and return most of the proceeds to shareholders, it said.
Hilton, which operates around 400 hotels outside the US and nearly 1,900 Ladbrokes UK betting shops, plans to raise between £300m and £400m from the sales over the next year.
Deputy CEO Brian Wallace said his firm has 11 UK hotels on the market for outright sale, worth at least £100m.
It will sell another tranche either for outright sale or for sale with a management contract for Hilton.
