|
Great Hotels of the World announces that it has a new member hotel opening in southern France. Set at the heart of a two hectare estate, in a landscaped park of century old olive trees and at the foot of the ramparts of Saint Paul de Vence on the Côte d\'Azur, Le Mas de Pierre will open on 1st April, 2005. |
Located only a few kilometres from the sea and less than 20 minutes from Nice International airport, Le Mas de Pierre is ideally situated to explore the surrounding Provence region.
Arranged around a heated pool, the hotel will offer 48 luxurious bedrooms, apartments and spacious suites, featuring private gardens or large scenic terraces, in five Provencal Bastides with tiled roofs and Provence colours. Designed by Patrick Ribes, a specialist in luxury hotel interior design, the rooms are decorated in the three styles of Provence, romantic and colonial, offering tones of sun yellow, ochre and lavender blue respectively. In addition, each room offers a marble bathroom and 18th Century regal and Provencal inspired antique furniture, combined with the modern conveniences of air conditioning, high-speed internet connection and a satellite grand plasma T.V. screen.
The hotel’s restaurant, La Table de Pierre, is a vast room situated on the ground floor, which is decorated in lounge style with a capacity of 60 covers. The restaurant will serve traditional local cuisine and there is a carvery available for lunch.
The resort’s facilities offer leisure ideas for adults and children alike. The spa facilities include a sauna, hamman, solarium, Jacuzzi, massage and beauty treatments for the body and face, while there is also a fitness centre and a swimming pool with private cubicles. For younger guests, there is a ‘petite maison des enfants’, which offers a games room and entertainments such as team and video games. Combined with the many attractions to visit in the surrounding area, Le Mas de Pierre offers a luxurious base to sample and enjoy the Côte d’Azur.
Business and incentive visitors are equally accommodated at the hotel, with the provision of five meeting rooms offering a capacity of up to 120 people. All of the rooms are fully air conditioned and contain the latest technological equipment, while also offering natural light. A large terrace with a panoramic view of the hills and valleys behind, offers an ideal backdrop for coffee breaks and cocktail reception events.
To complement the facilities, the 4 star hotel offers all the services to be expected of a luxury property, including those of a concierge, chauffeur and 24 hour service, to help make any stay as comfortable and convenient as possible.
Room rates start from 260 Euros (approx. £180) per room, per night, for board only.
