Golden Tulip and Peacock Hotels announces the signing of a development and representation agreement for Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
Through this agreement, Peacock Hotels, a hotel management and consulting company based in Bucharest, will implement and develop the Golden Tulip franchise in the region by converting both hotels managed by Peacock Hotels as well as extending the franchise to suitable third party owned and operated hotels.
Paul Marasoiu, President of Peacock Hotels, commented: “The Golden Tulip belief of providing the combination “International standards, local flavours” is completed by the Peacock Hotels promise: “Powered by attitude” and will convey our unique hospitality approach to the Romanian and Moldavian market. Entering into this agreement with Golden Tulip will support the region into becoming a global destination by adding credibility to the supply of accommodation available in Romania and Moldova. Furthermore, the training programmes provided by Golden Tulip will assist the region in grooming a higher level of hospitality services.”

Today, Golden Tulip’s portfolio in Romania consists of two hotels: The Golden Tulip Bucharest Hotel (Calea Victoriei 166) open since February 18th 2005 and the Tulip Inn Bucharest (Bd Nerva Traian 3) due to open in September 2005.
