  • Hilton More Than 2,000 Employees Are Recognized for Their 'Million Dollar'' Performance

Hilton Hotels Corporation, one of the world's leading hospitality companies, recently recognized thirteen properties that earned their share of the company's annual $1 Million "Go for the Green" award. Winning properties for 2004 are: the Doubletree Club Las Vegas Airport, Doubletree Guest Suites Atlanta - Perimeter, Doubletree Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley, Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort/Scottsdale, Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort Santa Barbara, Hilton Atlanta Airport, Hilton Austin, Hilton Cleveland East/Beachwood, Hilton Miami Airport, Hilton Minneapolis, Hilton Times Square, Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center and the University Park Hotel @ MIT - Cambridge.

Each year, all Hilton Hotels Corporation owned and managed hotels across all brands set their annual goals based on their prior year's actual results plus an improvement factor. At the end of the calendar year a hotel must have achieved their goals in each of the Key Performance Indicators in their Balanced Scorecard, Hilton's award winning performance measurement system. Superior performance is really a team effort, and that's why every single team member in the winning hotels all share equally in the $1 million award. A winning hotel also receives a custom designed plaque to display as a visible reminder of their outstanding achievement.

"I am very proud of our team members at our 'All Green' properties," said Matthew J. Hart, president and COO of Hilton Hotels Corporation. "Sharing in the $1 Million award is a well-deserved reward for their efforts. Everyone should feel a great sense of pride in the results they achieved and it gives me a great deal of pleasure to present the team members of the properties with this award for their tremendous achievement."

Hilton Hotels Corporation is recognized internationally as a preeminent hospitality company. The company develops, owns, manages or franchises more than 2,300 hotels, resorts and vacation ownership properties.
