Brand New All-Suites Hotel Set For November 2005 Opening
Construction is underway and a November 2005 opening is set for a brand new Homewood Suites Salt Lake City, a high caliber all-suites and extended stay property, in the Rio Grande area near the Gateway.
Homewood Suites Salt Lake City, a Hilton Hotel, is being developed by US Development. Northwest Hospitality Group of Vancouver, Wash., which runs 14 other similar properties, will manage the property.
The 124-room, all suite hotel is ideally situated in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, just two blocks from the Gateway district of shopping, restaurants, cinemas and an Imax theatre. It is also just a few blocks from the Delta Center, the Salt Palace and Temple Square.
The property will feature three meeting rooms that can be converted into a ballroom and 1,800 square feet of meeting space, as well as on site business and fitness centers and restaurants. Signature Homewood Suites amenities will include a "Suite Start" hot breakfast and manager's "Welcome Home" reception.
This year, for the second year in a row and fourth year overall, Homewood Suites by Hilton was ranked the nation's number one "Upper Upscale Extended Stay Hotel Chain" by the annual Business Travel News consumer survey of top U.S. hotels.
