Kempinski Hotels announces the addition of Kempinski Residences Istanbul to its portfolio in Turkey after signing a management agreement with Astas Gayri Menkul A.S..
Opening in 2007, the residences are currently being constructed in two sleek towers, supported by a podium base. The towers will have 108 luxurious residences, available for sale to investors, in their upper storeys. The lower storeys will feature 34 exclusive long-stay residences for rental in the first tower and 28 spacious offices in the second tower.
Residents and guests in both towers will be able to enjoy the personalised services for which Kempinski is renowned, such as a dedicated Concierge, housekeeping, room service and valet parking. Further facilities are located in the podium and include a state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa, open to both residents and outside members, as well as a restaurant and an up-scale shopping mall.
Situated in the main business and commercial district of Esentepe on the European side, the Kempinski Residences will be simply the most luxurious residences in the city. Conveniently close to the main highway linking Europe with Asia and just a short drive from Istanbul international airport, the residences are ideally located for the business traveller.
Istanbul is one of Turkey’s most important international business centres due to its accessibility from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Once the capital of both the Byzantine and Ottoman empires, Istanbul is also home to landmarks such as the Topkapı Palace, Sultan Ahmet’s Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya (Haghia Sofia) and the Kapalı Çarşı (Grand Bazaar). Old Istanbul is flanked by modern Istanbul, with busy commercial districts and skyscrapers as well as an active nightlife.
Says Reto Wittwer, President & CEO of Kempinski: “We were the first luxury hoteliers in Eastern Europe and we have built a very strong presence in Turkey. With the Kempinski Residences, we bring a totally different offering to Istanbul, designed to appeal to those with a business lifestyle who are accustomed to the highest standards throughout. The residences complement the Palace Hotel Kempinski which offers the unique possibility of staying in the last Sultan’s palace, a beautifully renovated palace where history has been made. Two further hotels in Turkey, the Kempinski Hotel The Dome in Belek and the Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay in Bodrum, which also features Kempinski Residences, are both due to open this summer.”
