Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. Promotes Curtis Brown to Regional Vice President of Operations

  • Great Wolf Resorts Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., America's largest developer of indoor waterpark resorts, announced today that Curtis Brown has been named regional vice president of operations.

    In his new role, Brown will be responsible for the launch and ongoing operations of Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains, Pa., slated to open in October, and Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls, Ontario (independently owned by Ripley Entertainment, Inc., a Jim Pattison Company), slated to open in spring 2006. Brown will remain the general manager of Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, Va.

    "Curtis' broad range of leadership, brand knowledge and proven skills will help to establish the Great Wolf Lodge brand in new destination markets," said Kim Schaefer, chief operating officer of Great Wolf Resorts. "His combined experience of management and brand development in Wisconsin Dells and a new market roll out in Williamsburg make him a great fit for this position."

    Brown has been with Great Wolf Resorts since March 2001. Prior to that he served in various management positions for more than 20 years with Hilton Hotels in Orlando, New York, Washington D.C. and Boston.
