Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) has announced two new agreements with Vagabond Inns, in the US, and Abba Hotels, in Spain, to provide Voyager Central Reservation System (CRS) and supporting data management tool EasyAccessPlus RateManager.
Abba Hotels is a Spanish chain of hotels located in urban areas and currently it has 15 hotels and four projects in development, while Vagabond Franchise System, Inc. offers licences to operate a motel or hotel within its franchise system under the trade name Vagabond Inn or Vagabond Inn Executive.
Cendant stated that TRUST International's Voyager CRS will enable Vagabond Inns and Abba Hotels to address the challenges of multi-channel distribution while driving down transaction costs. Further, through WizCom International, another subsidiary of Cendant TDS, both hotel groups will also utilise EasyAccessPlus RateManager, a rate loading tool which distributes rate information to all GDS and online channels from a single interface.
Don Johnson, president and chief executive officer, Vagabond Franchise Company said the company selected the Voyager CRS and EasyAccessPlus RateManager products because "of their high degree of interaction and the expanded distribution reach which enables to closely manage our distribution costs and increase our sales."
"Its vast distribution channels offer us a leg-up in our strategy to expose our hotel properties to a broad customer base," said Johnson.
