BDO Reports Further Growth For French Hotel Performance For June & July 2005

Upscale hotel markets in Paris 600 € The first semestre 2005 closes with a sensible increase of performances for the French hotel markets. However, while the improved RevPAR of the Parisian hotels is due to both better occupancy and higher average rates, the regional hotels have benefitted solely from increased average rates. 400 € June has been a great month for the French hotel industry with improved RevPAR both in Paris and in the regions, compared to the same period last year.

July 2005
Summer is expected to pass reasonably well, especially for upscale categories of hotels. In both June and July, the hotel industry saw considerable growth. True, this growth was not very pronounced in July, but it is encouraging to see that there was an increase in demand, during summer months, even in the context of a slightly depressed economy. As the holidays come to an end, and work begins again, we could not resist drawing up a first report about summer performances.
