Sage Hospitality Announces Executive Appointments |
|
Sage CEO Walter Isenberg taps four top industry experts to lead strategic growth initiatives |
Sage Hospitality Resources, the Denver, Co based hospitality company specializing in managing and renovating full service and luxury hotels, has appointed a team of veteran hotel industry experts to four newly- created senior management positions. They include Robin Kirk, named regional vice president of operations; Brad McCreedy, vice president of sales; Will Loughran, vice president of revenue and Peter Karpinski, senior vice president for Sage's new restaurant division.
According to Sage CEO Walter Isenberg the new positions are designed to support and enhance Sage's multi-pronged, national growth strategy in managing and developing premium-brand hotels:
'These key appointments are a strategic investment in procuring the top talent available to help Sage continue to strengthen the depth and expertise of its management team and to be entrepreneurially positioned to identify and tackle innovative growth opportunities in the industry', observed Mr. Isenberg.
Sage's growing portfolio of upscale hotels includes 47 properties located in cities throughout the country. Currently, Sage 's development arm has six hotel projects under construction. Among them are four urban initiatives including the restoration of (three) historic landmark properties into luxury hotels in Providence, Rhode Island: Chicago, IL and Portland, Oregon as well as a $44 million, signature Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Denver. Sage Hospitality's management group will operate all of the hotels.
Robin Kirk, regional vice president of operations
Named Sage's regional vice president of operations, Mr. Kirk will be responsible for the operation of Sage hotel properties in the Northeast and Midwest markets. Formerly, Mr. Kirk was president of CSM Lodging in Minneapolis, MN responsible for all for all facets of operating the privately held hospitality company. Mr. Kirk has also held executive positions with The Marcus Corporation, Meristar Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels Corporation as well as the Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company. In addition, Mr. Kirk served as general manager of The Philadelphia Hilton and Towers. He began his hospitality career at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. A native of England, Mr. Kirk holds a B.A. Honors degree in Economics and Politics from the University of York.
Brad McCreedy, vice president of sales
As vice president of sales, Mr. McCreedy will oversee sales initiatives for all Sage hotel properties. Prior to joining Sage, Mr. McCreedy held a variety of senior marketing and sales positions with Marriott International starting in 1980 until 2005. Most recently, he served as director of sales and marketing for The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, market director of sales-Florida and as director of marketing for the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center. Mr. McCreedy is the recipient of several industry sales and special achievement awards and earned a B. S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
Will Loughran, vice president of revenue
In his new role as vice president of revenue, Mr. Loughran will oversee revenue strategy for Sage's portfolio of hotels. Previously, Mr. Loughran was director of sales and marketing for the Denver Marriott Tech Center responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives and revenue management. Mr. Loughran has also held numerous executive positions with Marriott Corporation during a seventeen-year tenure including posts as market director of field sales, area director of sales and marketing and director of market strategy. Recognized with a number of awards for sales excellence, Mr. Loughran holds a BA from Colorado State University and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Tulane University.
Peter Karpinski, senior vice president- restaurant division
As senior vice president for Sage Hospitality's recently established restaurant division, Mr. Karpinski will assume a multi-faceted role in his post responsible for concept development and design, as well as on-going operations for new and existing restaurants in Sage hotels. Peter Karpinski, an accomplished restaurant executive, formerly with the Starr Restaurant Organization. As director of operations for Starr Restaurants, he opened Barclay Prime and operated their twelve other well-recognized restaurants including Morimoto, Buddakan, and the Continental. Mr. Karpinski also served as director of restaurants at Caesars Palace and was instrumental in the openings of the highly acclaimed restaurants Bradley Ogden and Mesa Grill, as well as their recent Roman Plaza expansion.
