As part of the company's outlook to double its hotel portfolio over the next five years, Shamin Hotels will be opening their first hotel venture in Maryland with the 155-room Hilton Garden Inn(R) Washington DC/Greenbelt property.
Scheduled to open in Spring 2006, the new Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Greenbelt hotel will boast the latest in guestroom technology, from complimentary high speed Internet access and remote printing to the hotel's complimentary 24-hour business center to the innovative Garden Sleep System(R) bed. The hotel will also offer a full service restaurant that will present a hot, made-to-order breakfast and a la carte breakfast options as well as room service dining or in the American Grill restaurant.
For meeting planners, the hotel will feature nearly 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and offer a variety of meeting packages that will provide great value for planners. In addition, the hotel's banquet space will be able to accommodate weddings and special events.
The presence of Shamin Hotels can be seen throughout the Richmond market most currently with two full service hotel groundbreakings in 2006, other limited service hotels coming on board and the addition of the new hotel in the Washington DC/Greenbelt area, which further shows the rapid growth of Shamin Hotels.
According to Chief Operating Officer Neil Amin, "While we have many choices in what brands we are developing and managing, we felt that Hilton Garden Inn would be the ideal product for this market based on the customer and business needs in the Washington DC/Greenbelt area."
The Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Greenbelt will be located in Greenbelt, Md., at 7810 Walker Drive, Greenbelt, MD 20770.
