See-Through Doors, High-End Treats and Storage Space Offered by Luxury Hotel Brand
Luxury comes in all shapes and sizes - and in the case of Omni Hotels' new minibar refrigerator, it arrives as a sleek, scaled-down model of the glass-door refrigerators gracing gourmet kitchens.
Omni Hotels is upgrading its minibar refrigerators, in part, as a response to the 2005 J.D. Power and Associates survey that lists refrigerators among the most important amenity for upscale and luxury hotel guests. Omni's minibar refrigerator contains new top-quality products including Dean & DeLuca chocolates and snacks and features increased storage space for guests' personal drinks, fresh fruit or other snacks.
"Our focus on the guest experience is really about tempting their five senses in innovative ways," said Stephen Rosenstock, senior vice president of brand standards and business development. "The new minibar refrigerator is a stylish combination of design and function that appeals to today's sophisticated guests. The glass doors framed with brushed steel reflect an aesthetic that is fitting with our high-end room designs. The design is also very user-friendly with a see-through door that provides guests with an open invitation to enjoy the Dean & DeLuca chocolates and other premier products as well as the standard soft drinks, snacks and spirits."
The minibar refrigerator's modern form is matched by its state-of-the-art functionality. The clear glass door, which is double-paned for added insulation, provides quick visibility for both guests and hotel housekeeping staff who stock the appliances. Housed in a durable brushed steel frame, the minibar refrigerators offer a generous 40-liter interior despite standing only 20 inches tall, about 16 inches wide and 18 inches deep. It also operates with an energy efficient evaporated cooling system.
The new minibar refrigerators are being tested at the newly renovated Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West. Based upon guest input, Omni will look for other opportunities to launch them brand wide.
