More Than 60 Hotels Converted to La Quinta Brand
La Quinta announced the conversion of 65 corporate-owned Baymont Inn & Suites to the La Quinta Inn brand as part of its accelerated growth and distribution plan following its acquisition by affiliates of The Blackstone Group in January.
'La Quinta is a strong brand with increasing traveler recognition throughout the United States. With the conversion of these hotels, we increase La Quinta's reach in the Midwest and the Northeast by adding approximately 6,800 more rooms to our system,' said Wayne Goldberg, president and chief executive officer LQ Management L.L.C.
Following the conversion, these hotels will be part of the $275 million investment in property upgrades over the next few years. They will also participate in the Returns program where guests can earn points for every dollar spent on their room rate. Points can be redeemed for valuable rewards including airline miles, free nights, certificates/gift cards for use at national retailers and restaurants, and more. Reservations at these hotels may be booked by visiting La Quinta's website www.LQ.com, calling the 24-hour, toll-free reservations number (800) 531-5900 or through the GDS using the LQ chain code.
