This latest release features a fresh new look, increased security, and break compliance features for states requiring mandatory employee breaks. Improvements include high-speed processing of gift cards with Paymentech(R), and the ability to use a POS terminal in a remote location without network connectivity by voluntarily taking the terminal offline.
Increased security in the Profit Series POS application provide features for Visa USA PCI Data Security compliance such as advanced passwords requiring a combination of alpha and numeric characters, detailed reporting of who is accessing unmasked credit card information, and user-defined password expirations and improved handling of encryption key rotation. Other features are Network Backup which allows data from the POS system to be backed up to multiple network locations instead of using hardware-based backup devices and support for wireless and USB printing devices.
