December 15, 2000 -- HVS International -- Les Hotels de Paris, the niche hotel player, is seeking a listing on Paris's Second Marche despite recent turbulence on the Paris stock market.
According to the group's Chairman, Partick Machefert, there are opportunities to seize and it is hoped a stock market listing would raise between Euro 11 million and Euro 23 million by floating a stake of between 13% and 20% in the company.
The opportunities comprise possible acquisitions of three and four-star hotels in Paris, as well as possible growth planned for London and Brussels in the medium-term.
Les Hotels de Paris currently owns 16 hotels in Paris with plans to open a further eight next year. The company operates a further eight hotels on a management contract basis.
This year the group plans to achieve a profit of Euro 0.6 million on turnover of Euro 16.6 million, compared to a loss of Euro 1.9 million last year on revenue of Euro 11.4 million.
