Red Lion Hotels Corporation Puts Final Touches on Rooms Renovations

  • Red Lion Enters Peak Travel Season with Upgraded Hotel Network

    Red Lion Hotels Corporation (NYSE:RLH) today announced that it has substantially completed planned rooms renovations at its owned and leased hotels, and will enter the peak summer travel season with an upgraded hotel network.

    Under the company's renovation program, it has replaced beds, bedding and case goods, installed new carpeting, wall finishes, drapes and lighting and updated bathrooms with new tile floors, tub surrounds, granite vanities and curved shower rods. With rooms renovations substantially complete, the next stage of the program involves enhancing public areas to maximize guest satisfaction.

    "Our renovation program was designed to position Red Lion as a premium hotel brand in the upper mid-scale sector. Feedback from our guests supports this, with the newly renovated rooms being described as warm and comfortable with an upscale, residential feel," said John Taffin, Executive Vice President, Hotel Operations. "Based on the results previously reported for our three hotels that completed renovations in late 2005, it is clear that guests are willing to pay more for the renovated rooms. In fact, we are already commanding higher average rates at our hotels that more recently completed their renovations."
