TurboChef Combines With Cornell University to Educate the Top Chefs Of Tomorrow on Today's Cutting Edge Cooking Technology |

|
NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ --
TurboChef Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: TRBO) has joined forces with Cornell University's Statler Hotel School to enable students to participate in real life case studies in the hospitality industry. Cornell's comprehensive studies on hotel and restaurant management are complemented by the many applications of the TurboChef cooking system which include, room service, main line kitchens, satellite kitchens, smaller non-vented kitchens for limited service hotels, in house pizza programs, catering, and utilizing the computer connectivity features of the system.
Holly Winslow, the director of food & beverage for the Statler Hotel at Cornell University recently wrote, The TurboChef oven has proven to be an indispensable tool for our culinary operations for over eight years now. Our lunch crowd is under substantial time restraints and TurboChef has allowed our culinary team to create and write menus that serve superior food and enhanced the speed of service to our guest. Without TurboChef on our side we would not have increased our lunch covers by 10% last fiscal year.
The diversity of TurboChef's ability to poach, broil and roast from one small oven allows us to prepare items for three hotel operations from one central cooking line. We serve burgers in our Hotel Lounge as well as filet and duck in our Contemporary Bistro to lamb in our Room Service Department without adding labor or impacting the quality of the items we serve. The most recent version allows us to import hundreds of recipes for all of these outlets. It's like having an additional chef on the line without the additional cost.
We coach, train and develop many young hotel students in our kitchens who are amazed and impressed at the features and how far digital kitchen technology has come. Your company truly embodies the concept of serving with hospitality.
Mark Mirken, chief operating officer of TurboChef, commenting on TurboChef's affiliation with Cornell University stated, TurboChef is extremely honored to be associated with one of the pre-eminent hotel & restaurant teaching facilities in the country. Cornell University and the Statler Hotel School are perfect training grounds for tomorrow's industry leaders, which allows us to communicate the unique opportunities and benefits of the TurboChef cooking system to the foodservice industry at a time when operational efficiencies are more important than ever before. The Statler Hotel situation is a perfect example of how the TurboChef system provides flexible cooking solutions across all aspects of hospitality. These range from room service applications and fine dining to pool and snack bar offerings using an unskilled labor force, which all can be accomplished in a completely vent free environment. The benefits of training industry professionals to use our technology and establishing brand recognition early in their careers will only serve to enhance our success in both the near and long terms. We regard this endorsement by Cornell as the highest accolade and validation of our product
