Stephen Rushmore, president and founder of HVS International, has announced the opening of an HVS office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. HVS Buenos Aires is the firm’s 12th office worldwide, and will work in close association with HVS’ office in São Paulo, Brazil.
HVS Buenos Aires will be headed by Arturo García Rosa, a highly experienced and well- respected hotel consultant in South America. His varied experience in the hotel and tourism industries in Argentina includes active participation with major hotel corporations, industry associations, and educational institutions. He served as Vice President and Managing Director of the Alvear Palace Hotel for seven years, and Managing Director of Costa Cruise Line for Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay. He was president of Welcome Argentina, an association of airlines, hotels, and tour operators, which promotes the country as an international destination; he has also served as President of the Advisory Council of the Hotel and Restaurant Expo, and on the executive committee of the country’s Tourism Hotels Association.
As President and CEO of his own company, RHC – Hospitality Consulting, he has been involved in numerous projects around the globe: New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami; Madrid and Barcelona, Spain; London and Paris; Rome, Genoa, and Milan, Italy; Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg, Germany; Vienna, Austria; Peking, China; São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Santiago, Chile. “He obviously brings to HVS a significant base of business, contacts, and experience,” says Rushmore.
“Arturo will be working very closely with Diogo Canteras who heads up our office in São Paulo, Brazil,” explains Rushmore, “further strengthening our presence in South America.”
