Ron Bertaut has been promoted to the position of Director of Operations for quick casual Mexican chain Baja Fresh.
Bertaut, who has been with the quick casual Mexican chain for more than five years, most recently held the position of Manager of Operations Services.
In his new position, Bertaut will oversee all new product testing as well as the subsequent rollout of new products and procedures. Bertaut also will manage Baja Fresh's training department.

Formerly the Manager of Operation Services, Bertaut began his career with Baja Fresh as a General Manager for its Dallas, Texas, region. Within six months he was promoted to Opening Coordinator and within two years was recognized for his performance with another promotion.
Baja Fresh is a privately held company headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California. The chain currently operates 298 restaurants (a combination of 144 company- and 154 franchise restaurants) in 21 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington as well as the District of Columbia.
