IHG Appoints Jill Cady, Vice President, Worldwide Sales Strategy

  • InterContinental IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has named Jill Cady, vice president, worldwide sales strategy.

    Based in Atlanta and reporting to Stephen Powell, senior vice president, worldwide sales, IHG, Cady will take an active role in setting and delivering IHG's account management strategy for top customer accounts, in order to increase IHG's market share. She is also responsible for leading the engagement between the global and hotel sales teams to deliver a consistent sales experience across all regions.

    'IHG is experiencing a period of rapid worldwide growth,' said Stephen Powell. 'In this newly-created position, Jill's experience will prove invaluable as we strive to deliver our core strategies to existing and new customer accounts across the globe.'

    Cady joined IHG in 1995 as director of national sales, mid-Atlantic region, for Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts and has held various other sales positions including director, conference sales; director, global sales business development; and director, global sales operation and planning. Most recently, she held the position of director, global sales strategy and systems, where she had responsibility for the design and development of sales initiatives, systems and tools for IHG's global sales organizations.

    Cady, a 20-year hospitality industry veteran, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Washington.
