Radisson Hotel, Alexandria, Egypt to Open in 2009 |

The Rezidor Hotel Group has contracted a fifth property in Egypt: The Radisson Hotel, Alexandria is scheduled to open its doors in the first quarter of 2009 and will feature 270 rooms. |
Between 2007 and 2009, Rezidor will add 20.000 new rooms to its portfolio.
'Egypt is a raising market where Rezidor is already present with business and resort hotels', comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group. 'We are glad to arrive in Alexandria now - known as the 'second capital' of the country and being a major seaport on the Mediterranean Sea.'
The Radisson Hotel, Alexandria will be located in Alex West, a new suburb ten minutes west of Alexandria City, comprising apartments, townhouses, villas, three hotels in total, a conference centre, restaurants, a shopping mall and an 18-hole-golfcourse. Guests of the Radisson Hotel will benefit from several dining venues, a health club with outdoor pool, retail outlets and a Golf Clubhouse. Furthermore, the hotel will offer a business centre, an executive lounge and two meeting rooms. The driving distance to Alexandria Airport will be 20 minutes, to Cairo two hours.
