November 14, 2000 -- HVS International -- Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts celebrates the opening of a number of new hotels across the globe. The 265-bedroom Ronneby Brunn Hotel in Sweden, owned by Norway's Norlandia A/S, has been renamed the Radisson SAS Ronneby Brunn Hotel. The hotel is one of Scandinavia's largest conference and business resort hotels, with 33 conference roons, a congress hall, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and an 18-hole golf course.
In Norway, Radisson SAS extends its profile further with two hotels joining the Radisson SAS brand. These hotels comprise the four-star 92-bedroom hotel in Ulsteinvik and the 140-bedroom hotel in Beitostølen, the latter being the group's first mountain resort in Scandinavia.
Finally, the Radisson SAS brand was launched in South Africa with the opening of the luxury 182-bedroom Radisson Hotel Waterfront under a joint venture agreement with Radisson South Africa. There are plans to develop six further hotels in Southern African Development community countries.
