Veteran Hotelier Named Operations VP at Best Western International

  • Best Western Best Western International has hired hospitality industry veteran Ron Pohl as vice president - operations

    In his new role, Pohl will oversee the company's regional services, revenue management, cultural diversity and education and training departments, and will lead, integrate and improve their efforts to provide industry-leading customer care.

    'Under Ron's leadership, Best Western will ramp up its efforts to strengthen its brand quality and member services,' said Ric Leutwyler, Best Western International's senior vice president of brand quality and member service. 'He is a proven leader whose contributions will be felt immediately - by our staff, our members and our customers.'

    Pohl brings a wealth of industry and leadership experience to Best Western International, and most recently served as a senior vice president of operations and marketing for Boykin Management Company, a Cleveland-based hotel management firm. Pohl has more than 25 years of hotel experience with an array of brands, including Choice, Radisson, Hilton and Marriott, and a number of independent resorts.

    Pohl is a graduate of the University of Akron and holds a Certified Hotel Administrator designation.
