Best Western Launches Virtual Hotel Prototype Program |
|
|
PHOENIX, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Best Western International has introduced
a virtual hotel prototype program to market the Best Western brand as an
innovative new build product to hotel developers.
The proprietary computer-based program allows Best Western's development
team to demonstrate several point-and-click design options and then take
prospective owners on a 360-degree virtual tour based on client input.
Elements include hotel interior and exterior designs and the number of rooms
and stories. The prototype provides options based on geographical location,
lot-shape and size and individual preferences.
The program also enables developers to use the designs as a starting point
for more detailed architectural drawings.
The first phase for the Best Western prototype project is based on four
hotel model designs:
Main Street is the most generic model and is intended to be the most value
oriented with a style and level of detail that would be applicable to all
geographic regions. The style is meant to convey a sense of familiarity and
comfort, without being overly dressed or detailed.
Providence is based on the many charming establishments found along the
east coast of the U.S. The exteriors may include the bright, white wood trims
that unify all the other materials, as well as the row house theme which
alternates finishes and rooflines throughout the property.
Timberline is originally earmarked as a western lodge concept and could be
used in any mountain resort or national park setting. With a water feature
added, the exterior look reinforces the ties to a natural surrounding as well
as giving the structure a resort atmosphere. The interior adds to this
feeling by using rich colors and eclectic furnishings.
New West targets the southwest region of the U.S. with its bold,
monolithic shapes together with the use of strong colors. The exterior flavor
is carried inside the building, striving to create a special new western
hospitality.
Each model can be paired with a variety of interior floor plans including
Business Plus(R), two suite designs plus standard and king room variations.
The prototype program was designed to develop initial interest among
hotel developers as well as creating a quicker and more efficient process for
our development team, said Simon Sloman, vice president of Operations for
Best Western. Individuality has been the cornerstone of Best Western's
success for more than 50 years. This program continues that tradition by
allowing our prospective owners creative input throughout the entire process
making their hotel truly unique.
Future plans include adding models such as beach and resort designs as
well as options for conversion properties.
