Matthews Hospitality Group, LLC has announced plans for The Palm House, a high-profile condominium hotel project on Palm Beach Island, Florida. If town officials hold fast to a recent vote calling for a moratorium on condominium hotels, The Palm House may be the last real estate ownership opportunity of its kind there. Representing a major coup for this newly-formed hospitality development and management group, The Palm House is slated to open as an intimately-scaled, five-star luxury destination in January 2008.

"The Palm House will combine world-class service and amenities to set the standard for premier real estate ownership on Palm Beach," said Robert V. Matthews, nationally recognized real estate developer and principal of Matthews Hospitality Group. "For the select few, this will be a rare opportunity to own a piece of Palm Beach - one of the most coveted addresses in the world," noted Matthews, who has lived on the island for over 20 years, first seasonally and now as a permanent resident.

The Palm House will be conveniently located on majestic Royal Palm Way - just steps from the beach and a short stroll from fabled Worth Avenue, putting the best of everything within easy reach.

Representing a $20 million renovation project over the last two years, The Palm House, when complete, will comprise 79 beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped studios and suites, two distinctive venues for dining and cocktails, flexible meeting space, full service spa and salon, fitness center and lushly landscaped pool.

Five floor plans, including studio and suite configurations, will satisfy owners' personal preferences. Residence prices will start at $1.25 million and will range to more than $3 million (USD), based on size and location.

Matthews Hospitality Group was formed to create a unique collection of ultra-elite properties for those who appreciate the very best. By targeting one-of-a-kind properties in the most sought after locations for acquisition and development, Matthews Hospitality Group positions itself to become a trendsetter within the luxury hospitality market. The company plans to acquire properties in Aspen, Colorado; Stowe, Vermont; and the Caribbean within the next three years.

The Palm House will join Point Breeze as one of two flagship properties owned and operated by Matthews Hospitality Group, LLC. Point Breeze is an historic landmark in Nantucket Town being transformed into a condominium enclave offering an unparalleled mix of services and amenities.

The Palm House will be located at 160 Royal Palm Way, Palm Beach, Florida, 33480.

Logos, product and company names mentioned are the property of their respective owners.
