Carlson Hotels Worldwide announced the hiring of Kaaren Hamilton as the new director of National Sales.
In her new role, Hamilton is responsible for generating new national accounts for Carlson Hotels Worldwide and raising awareness about the global solutions Carlson can provide. Focusing on Manhattan-based accounts, Hamilton will work to drive incremental revenue in the transient and group sectors.
Prior to joining Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Hamilton was with Hyatt Hotels overseeing corporate sales for one of the group's most visible properties, the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson. Hamilton has also served as the director of Meeting Services for The Hilton at Short Hills, New Jersey's only Five Diamond hotel, and director of Sales for The Palace at Somerset Park conference center and events venue in Somerset, N.J. Hamilton is an honors degree graduate of the University of Surrey in England. Hamilton reports to Brad Penrith, senior director of National Sales for Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
