Meredith Quarnstrom Named VP - Food & Beverage for Hilton Hotels Corporation

  • Hilton Hilton Hotels Corporation has announced that Meredith Quarnstrom has been named vice president, Food & Beverage.

    A 12-year Hilton veteran, Quarnstrom previously served as general manager of the Hilton Atlanta Airport and the Doubletree Hotel Tyson's Corner, Virginia. Her new responsibilities will include overseeing food and beverage business across company-owned and -managed properties in the Americas. She will focus primarily on banquets and catering, casual and in-room dining and bars. Quarnstrom reports to Alexander Mirza, senior vice president of corporate development.

    'Hilton Hotels Corporation has made great strides in the last few years in terms of our guestroom experience and we are well on the way to leadership in fitness and spas,' said Mirza. 'We have a big opportunity to take our food and beverage operation to the next level and I am confident that Meredith Quarnstrom has the experience, the talent and the energy to lead the way.'

    Prior to her General Manager duties, Meredith held positions of resident manager, director of food and beverage and director of restaurants at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. Meredith gained her food and beverage roots managing several independent restaurants in the Washington D.C. area including the world renowned Occidental Grill and Paolo's Ristorante prior to starting with Hilton in 1995. She has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
