The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort & Spa Opens
The Rezidor Hotel Group, the Brussels-based hotel management company, announces the opening of the company's first property in Spain, The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort & Spa in Mijas. Located on Spain's Costa del Sol between Marbella and Málaga, the new, first-class and full-service, all-suite resort is located in the exclusive 'Mijas Golf' development, boasting some of the best golf courses in the region.
The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort & Spa features 105 luxury suites with one, two and three bedrooms (600 to 1,675 square feet), a fully equipped kitchenette and a private terrace or balcony. All suites offer complimentary high speed internet access, flat screen televisions, air conditioning and room service available 24-hours a day.
Aside from the resort's luxury suites, the heart of the resort resides in the new 6,500 square foot spa. Featuring a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and variety of whirlpools, the spa also offers an ice basin and ice fountain for guests to cool off following a treatment. For fitness enthusiasts, the spa offers a new Pilates studio and state-of-the-art gym with beautiful views, as well as a variety of massage and beauty treatments.
Often known as 'The Costa del Golf,' Spain's Costa del Sol offers over 40 golf courses which are among some of the best in the world. The resort can arrange tee times at reception, and guests can also take advantage of reduced greens fees offered by the resort.
At the resort's signature restaurant 'Scratch', Executive Chef Alvaro Garces offers gourmet cuisine with a Mediterranean touch, based on fresh seasonal products and new flavors, aromas and textures. The menus are accompanied by an extensive list of regional and international wines. In addition to Scratch, the resort offers 'Itaca Restaurant' for breakfast, the 'Albatros' snack bar and Pergola, the resort's pool bar.
Additionally, while the perfect place for a leisure vacation, the hotel offers a fully equipped business center including two meeting rooms which can also be booked for private lunches or dinners.
The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort & Spa is owned by the Mijas Hill Development S.A. and operated by Rezidor's franchise partner Hoteles, Ocio y Restauracion, S.A. Between 2007 and 2009, The Rezidor Hotel Group will open 20,000 new rooms.
