The Rezidor Hotel Group Announces Contracts For Six New Radisson and Park Inn Hotels to Open in Europe
The Rezidor Hotel Group, the Brussels-based hotel management company, announces contracts for six new hotels to open in Europe. The contracts include a Radisson resort to open in Yalta, Ukraine, a Radisson hotel to open in Paris, France, two Radisson hotels to open in Portimao, Portugal, a Radisson hotel to open in Brno, Czech Republic, and a Park Inn hotel to open in St. Helens, United Kingdom. These new hotels will add a total of 1,048 rooms to the group's portfolio. Between 2007 and 2009, Rezidor will open 20,000 new rooms in total.

Six New Hotels and Resorts to Open by 2009:
The exclusive Radisson Resort, Bolshaya Yalta, located in Ukraine, will offer 450 guestrooms, with the first 250 to be completed in April 2009, while an additional 200 rooms will follow in April 2010. The resort will feature both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a private beach and a spa. Yalta is the administrative center of the Crimean Southern Coast, and the region is well known for its beaches and for the wines of Massandra.
An existing boutique hotel in the 16th district of Paris will be re-branded as the Radisson Hotel, Paris in autumn 2008. The hotel offers 45 rooms and suites, a lobby with an open fireplace, a restaurant and bar, and is nearby to many exclusive boutiques and major attractions such as the Arc of Triumph, the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro. With this new hotel, Rezidor will further strengthen its position in the French capital, as the group currently manages four Radisson hotels and one Park Inn in Paris, and has one additional Radisson hotel currently under development.
In Portugal, The Rezidor Hotel Group will open both a Radisson hotel and a Radisson residence, both slated to open in Q3 2009. The Radisson Hotel Portimao will offer 192 guestrooms, two restaurants, a bar, extensive meeting & conference facilities, a leisure area with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa & wellness center and tennis courts. The hotel will be part of the Algarve Motor Park business development center, which will be located near the city of Portimao and will include a race track where national & international sporting events will be held, as well as a go-carting track, offices, and a residential building also managed by Rezidor. The Radisson Residence Portimao will offer 160 apartments, a leisure area, a reception area and a restaurant.
The Radisson Hotel Brno is Rezidor's fourth hotel to open in the Czech Republic, and will be a conversion of an existing building. The hotel will offer 117 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar, and a spa and health club. The hotel is scheduled to open in Q3 2009, and is located in the city center of Brno, across the street from the main train station and near the Brno high street. Brno is located in the southeast part of the Czech Republic and the second largest city of the country. Brno has its own airport which serves as a reserve airport for Prague.
The Park Inn St. Helens, located in the United Kingdom, will be a conversion from the current Hilton St. Helens and will be re-branded as a Park Inn in early 2008. The hotel offers 84 rooms, a restaurant, a lounge bar, eight meeting rooms and a health and fitness club including a swimming pool. St. Helens is located approximately nine miles east of Liverpool and 22 miles west of Manchester, and is easily accessible from both cities via various modes of transport. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the M6 motorway.
