    REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2002--Trendwest Resorts, Inc. (Nasdaq:TWRI), today hosted an open house at its latest Hawaiian resort, WorldMark at Kihei, on the exotic island of Maui. Dave Akins, Corporate Director of Resort Operations, greeted the attending local dignitaries and presented Jerri Chong, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii, with a check for $1,000 and a promise of ongoing support in 2002. The event also included a traditional blessing and tours of the facility grounds and condominium units.
    Jeff Caminos, a veteran hotelier with 25 years of progressive management experience in the hospitality industry, joined Trendwest Resorts as general manager to oversee operations at this latest property. We are very excited about our Kihei Resort, which is located near one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui, commented Caminos.
