JStokes today announced that it has been named advertising Agency Of Record (AOR) for SUBWAY(R) restaurants in the San Diego market. JStokes won the account following an agency review that included three other agencies. JStokes, an integrated marketing communications agency, will handle advertising strategy, media buying, and promotions among other responsibilities.
San Diego is the fourth SUBWAY market added to JStokes' client roster in the last year. The agency, which now represents more than 1,300 restaurants in the Western U.S., won the Santa Barbara and Bakersfield markets in February 2008 and the Hawaii market in August 2008. Despite the economic downturn, JStokes continues to build momentum and is now responsible for $14 million in SUBWAY billings.
'JStokes has done a solid job of promoting our national brand to regional markets across the West. Their team always delivers fresh ideas with great creative assets. They know how to attract customers, increase market share and deliver media to the right channel,' said Rohit Marwaha, Development Agent. 'As an agency partner, JStokes recognizes the significance of the SUBWAY brand and, equally important, knows how to drive revenue growth for all the franchises.'
'JStokes brought some great ideas to the table during the pitch and proved to us that they not only understood the brand but our market specifically,' said Doug Barry, Local Board Chairman. 'We looked at a number of agencies and found that JStokes' team represented a collection of talent across the board that we couldn't find elsewhere. It just made sense for us to engage with them.'
The shop has a longstanding history with the restaurant chain. Since 1988, JStokes has positively impacted sales by implementing smart, regional creative campaigns for SUBWAY franchises. The agency combines traditional and nontraditional media strategies to attract customers for its clients.
'Within the last year we've partnered with three new markets and helped them grow their business in a tight economy. That's success and we will continue to deliver the same results in San Diego,' said Jim Stokes, president of JStokes. 'We've had our eyes set on Southern California for some time now and we are eager to get started in San Diego.'
JStokes will begin work immediately with the San Diego market. J. Stokes has been responsible for developing traffic and sales building strategies for more than 2500 retail locations and dealers serving major franchised brands including SUBWAY restaurants, SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune-Up(R), The UPS Store(R), Cartridge World(R), Roto-Rooter(R), Carrier, Site for Sore Eyes(R) and Stanley Steemer(R).
