  • Stites & Harbison Stites & Harbison welcomes attorney Michael C. White to the Louisville office. White joins the firm as counsel and is a member of the firm's Real Estate & Banking Service Group. His practice concentrates in franchise (representing franchisees and franchisors), commercial real estate and general business/transactional matters.

    Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, White worked for Yum! Brands, Inc., the world's largest restaurant company in terms of restaurant units. During his 15 years at the company, he served in multiple positions, including general counsel for Long John Silver's, Inc., and A&W Restaurants, Inc. He also served as Yum's director of Franchise Administration.

    White earned his Juris Doctor, with High Distinction, Order of the Coif, from The University of Kentucky College of Law in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, from The University of Kentucky in 1981.

    Outside of Stites & Harbison (www.stites.com), White is past president and chairman of the board of directors for the University of Kentucky Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity Alumni Association. He maintains an active role within that organization.

    He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Alabama and the District of Columbia.
