  • Marriott Special Ad Tells Guests How To 'Green' Their Stay With A Carbon Offset

"WE'VE FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE NOT TO OPEN A HOTEL" reads the headline in a first ever Marriott ad in USA Today about the company's mission to protect 1.4 million acres of Amazon rainforest. Set against a dramatic image of pristine rainforest, the ad reinforces the company's commitment to fight climate change and encourages its guests to help by offsetting their own carbon when they travel.

An online version of the ad also appears on the marriott.com homepage. Guest can click the ad to offset their carbon and make a donation to Brazil's Juma Reserve which Marriott committed to protect with a pledge $2 million -- (Watch the video to learn more and see the rainforest: www.youtube.com/marriottgreen).
