  • Apical Resource Group Apical Resource Group LLC, an innovative travel and hospitality technology recruiting firm, announces the formation of a new division focused on Sales Team Augmentation(TM).

    Sales Team Augmentation(TM) (STA) changes the playing field related to how companies sell their products and manage their Sales Team. Apical will enable companies to extend their reach into new markets, focus existing sales staff on high value prospects and clients and grow revenue in a more cost effective manner than adding employees. Apical will collaborate with the client's executive team to establish the objective of the program, recruit and hire the sales leader (mentor) and sales staff for the dedicated team, set up business processes for order processing, reporting and other sales activities and provide an implementation plan. Sales associates will be assigned specifically to a single client for the term of the contract and will not be moved in to, or from, a direct market competitor.

    'The structure is fairly simple yet addresses an immediate need', stated Alan E. Young, Partner at Apical Resource Group, 'Apical will be parachuting in a highly qualified team, get them trained and selling our clients products within a very short time frame. Apical STA teams will be contractors and as such, the clients will not have to bear the brunt of benefits, tracking, follow-up and mentoring. This is all up to Apical. This approach allows the client to turn a fixed cost into a variable cost tied directly to revenue generation.'

    Apical's STA may also be used to attack markets whether they be geographic or focused on certain customer segments such as properties with less than 75 rooms or smaller F&B establishments which cannot sustain a salaried sales person and/or can help a non-North American based company expand into this market without incurring the cost of establishing and managing a sales presence remotely. The STA initiative will reduce the opportunity cost of these types of sales and thus ensure that companies garner the best possible margins.

    Finally, an unassigned sales territory means lost sales and revenue opportunities. Therefore, Apical will also enable companies to convert the most promising sales people to their own employees if they elect to do so after an initial term is met. This provides a consistent pipeline of talented sales people to expedite replacement of key sales personnel lost through normal attrition.
