Marshall Management Appoints Senior Vice President of Operations |

Salisbury, MD – November 12, 2002 – Marshall Management Inc., a national hotel management company, announced today the appointment of highly accomplished career hotelier Reza Ghassemi, CHA, CFBE, to its executive team.
Mr. Ghassemi joins the firm as Senior Vice President of Operations, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of numerous hotels in the company’s portfolio, according to Mike Marshall, President of Marshall Management.
“Reza brings more than 20 years success in hotel operations, sales, marketing, food and beverage management,” said Mr. Marshall. “As Marshall Management continues to expand through new management contracts and additions to our property portfolio, we seek to expand our base of talented executives.”
Reza Ghassemi joins Marshall Management from GF Management in Philadelphia where he improved Gross Operating Profits by 5 points during his tenure despite a challenging economic environment. Through his career Mr. Ghassemi has built a national reputation for his expertise in positioning, repositioning and branding hotels ranging from limited-service facilities to luxury resort destinations. Recently, Mr. Ghassemi successfully repositioned one of the largest hotel and convention centers in the Northeastern U.S.
In addition to holding executive positions with Choice Hotels, Sunburst Hospitality, and Richfield Hotel Management, Mr. Ghassemi’s educational background includes an advanced degree in Economics and Political Science, as well as professional training through Hilton Hotels, the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, 6 Continents and Carlson Hospitality.
