ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (Nov. 19, 2002) – The owners of Bolongo Bay Beach Club, located on St. Thomas, have taken over operations of the former Admiral’s Inn and renamed the property “The Bolongo Inn at Villa Olga.”

The property, which will have its official opening on Dec. 15, 2002, has been owned by the Doumeng family (owners of Bolongo Bay Beach Club) for the last 25 years but has been leased out for the past 15 years.

“The Bolongo Inn at Villa Olga is an in-town hotel that feels like an out-of-town experience,” said Richard Doumeng, owner of the property.

Located on a historic landmark site, The Bolongo Inn at Villa Olga is set amidst lush landscaping on a hill overlooking the tip of Frenchtown, the island’s most popular restaurant district. This secluded property is comprised of several buildings, one of which was the site of the former Russian Consulate and now houses the manager’s quarters, a new building for the 12 guestrooms, a swimming pool with an elevated deck that provides sunbathers with a picturesque view of the harbor, and “The Pointe at Villa Olga” restaurant.

Offering great views of the Caribbean and Charlotte Amalie Harbor, the Inn’s 12 rooms are equipped with king-sized beds, cable televisions, air conditioners, mini-refrigerators, and telephones. Four ocean view rooms have balconies.

The property is an European Plan (EP) hotel. Nightly rates are $99 per room, per night, based on double occupancy, valid for travel Dec. 23, 2002 – April 21, 2003.

Located right on the property is one of the most popular restaurants on St. Thomas, The Pointe at Villa Olga. Guests will enjoy grilled meat and seafood specialties and the island’s largest salad bar selection while dining right on the water’s edge. Six other restaurants are located nearby within walking distance of the property.

Guests looking for shopping will find that the Bolongo Inn at Villa Olga is a 10 minute walk to the town of Charlotte Amalie, the island’s well-known duty-free shopping center.

The Bolongo Inn at Villa Olga is located three miles from the Cyril E. King Airport.
