The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Receives Two AAA-Five Diamond Awards
Scottsdale, Arizona, November 19, 2002 - For the twelfth consecutive year, The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess received two Five-Diamond Awards from the American Automobile Association (AAA). The first award is for the resort’s striking and luxurious facilities and exceptionally high degree of service, and the other is for Marquesa, the resort’s signature dining room.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is pleased to once again receive two prestigious American Automobile Association Five-Diamond Awards, says John Pye, Regional Vice President and General Manager, The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. These awards affirm our continued commitment to the highest quality of service in distinctive surroundings.
According to AAA, less than one-third of one percent of the more than 42,000 lodgings and restaurants listed in AAA's 2002 Tour Books earn the 45-million-member association's top award. Only 77 lodgings and 53 restaurants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean earned 2003 Five-Diamond Awards.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is one of three Arizona resorts to be included among the 2003 Five-Diamond Award winners. Marquesa is also one of only two Arizona restaurants to be honored. The double Five-Diamond distinction makes The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Arizona's only ten-diamond resort.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is a 650-room resort, scenically set against the backdrop of Arizona's McDowell Mountains. The peaceful Southwestern setting offers the ideal location to retreat for a vacation. The amenities and luxuries available include two Tournament Players Club golf courses, the new Willow Stream Spa, five sparkling sapphire pools and a variety of award-winning restaurants.
