Waterford Hotel Group has named Gina Kunst as Regional Director of Sales at its corporate offices in Waterford, CT. Waterford Hotel Group professionally manages 25 properties in nine states, representing nearly 3,500 hotel rooms nationwide, as well as the Connecticut Convention Center.
As Regional Director of Sales, Kunst will oversee and strategize sales and marketing efforts of the company's select service hotels. Her duties include preparing and analyzing budgets, account management, and creating and implementing strategic marketing initiatives in tandem with the hotel's Sales Directors.
With more than ten years of sales management experience, Kunst joins the Waterford corporate office from her most recent role as Director of Sales for the Courtyard by Marriott in Norwich and the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Waterford. She joined the company in 2006 as Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn in New London, where she later served as General Manager. Her past experience includes serving in various hospitality capacities including task force, regional and property specific roles at a number of Marriott locations, including the Marriott Farmington in Connecticut, Marriott Durham in North Carolina, Marriott at Metro Center in Washington, DC, and the Triangle Area Marriott Hotels in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina.

Kunst holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studied Communications from the University of Connecticut. She currently resides in Colchester.
