Brings Unique Vision and Perspective to the Changing Travel Industry
The OpenTravel Alliance announces Timothy O’Neil-Dunne, Managing Partner at T2Impact Ltd. as its keynote speaker and conference moderator for the 2010 Advisory Forum.
With a theme of Merchandising, Partnering and Product Alignment for a New Decade, sessions at the event, including the keynote, will touch on the rapidly changing dynamics of the travel industry.
“While our industry is in a constant state of flux, some things have remained constant - people fly, sleep and drive. But now the consumer expects a Google-like search experience for even the most complex of products,” said Mr. O’Neil-Dunne. “And let's make no mistake, travel is complex. The industry needs to work together to provide solutions for the consumer to enable this easier, less explicit process. Anyone who stands in the way of change will become road kill.”
Mr. O'Neil-Dunne has over 30 years of experience in the travel and distribution technology industry. His expertise is broadly in all areas of travel distribution, including the implementation of OpenTravel standards.
"Timothy has a unique perspective on the travel industry, given his varied background," said John Lambe, CTO of OpenJaw Technologies and chair of the OpenTravel board of directors. "He has been both a proponent and a challenger of XML messaging standards, and we're looking forward to an open and candid exchange of ideas during the two-day event."
