    (San Francisco, CA) --- The Northern California Chapter, Meeting Professionals International (NCCMPI) announces their calendar of events for the first half of 2003.     SIGNATURE EVENTS

    15TH ANNUAL TRADE SHOW
    WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12
    SANTA CLARA CONVENTION CENTER
    As NCCMPI's ultimate networking event, exhibitors and attendees, will not want to miss this Chinese New Year celebration. This is the ideal opportunity for meeting professionals to expand industry contacts, exchange ideas with peers and find out about the latest meeting venues, products, services and technology.

    TUESDAY, MARCH 11
    GOLDEN GATE CLUB, PRESIDIO OF SAN FRANCISCO
    NCCMPI's Outreach Committee is proud to present its signature
    fundraising event, an evening reception showcasing some of the Bay
    Area's finest restaurants, caterers, wineries and entertainment. The
    money raised from this event will go to this year's designated
    charities, namely Project Open Hand and Sunburst Projects.

    WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
    FRIDAY, MAY 9
    SOFITEL SAN FRANCISCO BAY, REDWOOD CITY
    The Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) is an enriching event
    designed for attendees to gain essential leadership and professional
    skills. The WLI will consist of leadership workshops in the morning,
    followed by lunch and a keynote speaker.

    11TH ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC
    FRIDAY, MAY 16
    CRYSTAL SPRINGS GOLF COURSE, BURLINGAME
    This 18-hole shotgun tournament will provide meeting professionals with an opportunity to mingle with other industry leaders while participating in a friendly competition for some great prizes.

    ANNUAL GALA & SILENT AUCTION
    THURSDAY, JUNE 12
    PALACE HOTEL, SAN FRANCISCO
    This 1920s-1940s Black Tie gala is All about YOU. Under a stained glass dome and amongst shimmering chandeliers, NCCMPI will celebrate the year's achievements, rekindle industry friendships, and pave the way for new ones.

    PROFESSIONAL BREAKFAST PROGRAM
    TUESDAY, APRIL 8
    INN MARIN, NOVATO
    This is another chance to share best practices with peers,
    address key business issues and brainstorm solutions. Meet and
    network with other NCCMPI members and discover resources and how to
    access them. Topics will address advanced meeting management issues,
    career development and relationship building. Topics are geared
    toward entry-level, intermediate and seasoned meeting planners, as
    well as for suppliers.

    WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23
    CROWNE PLAZA CABANA, PALO ALTO; CAMPTON PLACE, SAN FRANCISCO; HOTEL PACIFIC, MONTEREY
    Connect with other industry professionals and exchange valuable ideas and insights during this one-hour lunch discussion.
