118-room property will be reflagged following completion of a comprehensive refurbishment program
The Royal Mulu Resort in Malaysia will be reflagged the 118-room Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa in 2011 following a comprehensive refurbishment program involving all guest rooms and public space, under a management agreement between Marriott International Inc. and Borsarmulu Resort Sdn. Bhd.
Located in the midst of breath-taking natural splendor along the banks of the Melinau River in Sarawak, Malaysia, the Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa will be a short 5-minute drive from the Gunung Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with lush, equatorial rainforests, unique ecological flora and animal life and some of the world’s most amazing cave systems dating back more than 40 million years. The resort will be the only full-service property in the area.
