EL CAJON, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2002) - The Quality Inn & Suites Grossmont is now open here at 1250 El Cajon Boulevard.
Formerly a Days Inn, the Quality Inn & Suites Grossmont is owned by Kenneth Voertman and operated by Helm Management Co. of Carlsbad, Calif.
The hotel underwent an $800,000 renovation that included the addition of a new lobby, breakfast area and meeting room. New carpet, paint, wall coverings and furniture were added throughout the hotel. Renovations to the hotel’s exterior included new landscaping.
“El Cajon was in great need of quality accommodations,” said Marcell Rock, the hotel’s director of sales. “We added a new meeting facility and made major improvements that makes the Quality Inn & Suites Grossmont a perfect place to stay whether traveling for business or leisure.”
The Quality Inn & Suites Grossmont features 96 units with one or two queen-size beds, 25-inch remote-controlled cable television with HBO, computer data port, voicemail, coffeemaker, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Suites also include a separate bedroom and living room area, two bathrooms, sofabed, refrigerator and microwave. Handicapped and non-smoking rooms are available.
The three-story Quality Inn & Suites Grossmont features an outdoor pool and hot tub, meeting room that can accommodate up to 60 people and guest laundry services.
Rates begin at $69 and include a complimentary continental breakfast and free local telephone calls. Children, ages 17 and under, stay free when accompanied by an adult.
Discounts are available when booked in advance for seniors, American Automobile Association members, business travelers, government and military personnel and groups.
The Quality Inn & Suites Grossmont is located off U.S. Interstate 8 and is close to many area attractions including San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park and local beaches.
The hotel participates in Choice’s Choice Privileges frequent-traveler program where guests can earn points toward free stays, vacations and gifts when staying at U.S. Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Clarion and Sleep Inn brand hotels.
Members of American Airlines AAdvantage, Delta SkyMiles, Northwest Airlines WorldPerks and US Airways Dividend Miles will receive airline miles when staying at any Choice brand hotel.
